In the midst of the current egg recall, I find it a bit ludicrous that the state won't allow small farmers (who have an egg license) to sell their eggs at a farmers market. It has caused eggs to virtually disappear outside of the grocery store. And, for what? So we no longer have a whole lot of a choice when it comes to where our eggs come from? Now, we are stuck with the likes of Wright County Egg. Where is the freedom of choice there?

With it being a while since we last took a picture of our family, we thought it needed to be updated. So, here is how our family has changed and grown.;) Keep in mind that Mandi and Andrew aren't present, since they had to work. From left to : Josiah, Kathy, Gabriel, Glenn, Amanda, Luke, Chris, and Bethany.

We are excited that our official bakery website is being updated at the moment! Laura has some amazing ideas on ways to make our site more personal.

Market season has started in earnest! The early mornings are well worth the chance to sell wholesome goodies and see good friends again. I am always happy to have a bit of a break when Winter comes around (there is something to be said for having a free Saturday once in a blue moon!), but then I am thrilled when market season starts up again in the Spring. Somehow, the Winter always lasts to long for me.:)

600 wedding mints later...

Which actually wasn't so bad between the four of us.:)

Somehow, I always think that life will slow down a bit once market season ends. And, somehow, it never really lives up to those expectations. :D This year has been no different! Life has managed to stay on the same track, gaining speed if anything.
Chris and Bethany will be getting married on March 14th. They were kind and made things easier on everyone by having their wedding date before market starts.;)
Luke has graduated from junior college and, after spending Christmas with beloved relatives in California, is ready to start this semester at MO West. He started seeing a wonderful young woman, Mandi, who I am sure you all might see a lot of when market starts.:)
Josiah is busy as every, making sure all the cows have enough food and water, while being sure he gets enough food. Its not unusual for him to head up to Grandma's after a meal and clean out her fridge.;) She is always delighted to see him though.
Gabriel is using the free time he has to read through the Little House books, since he completed the Magic Tree House books. Finally! A little brother who likes to read every bit as much as I do.;)
Dad is working full time and stays busy with that. Recently, he had to spend his evenings replacing burst pipes over at the bakery after the cold spell. We were all happy to see the warmer weather!
Mum is spending her free time sewing on Bethany's wedding dress. She had a time finding lace without sequins. As it was, Bethany and Chris had to remove the sequins on the lace she found. Love at work.
Grandma is now moved up here and is in the process of building a small house so that Chris and Bethany can live in the farmhouse. It has been so nice to have her close by!
I had a exciting Christmas, with Andrew proposing on the 17th of December. So, now Mum has two weddings to plan.:) We don't have a lot of things planned, other then the date: October 10th. Easy for us both to remember!
I starting taking college classes last semester at a junior college, which has been interesting. This semester I signed up for four online classes and one in the classroom. I was a bit apprehensive about using Blackboard, but things are working out well thus far (one week in. lol).
